How to Make Sunscreen:

Key ingredients:
• Beeswax
• Olive oil
• Zinc oxide powder (USP)
TOOLS
• Protective goggles
• Gloves, face mask
• Heating source like water bath or Bunsen burner
• Beaker of adequate size that it can hold desired quantity of oil
• Stirrer
PROCEDURE:
• Take one cup of olive oil and heat it over a low flame
• Add one ounce of emulsifying wax. One brick of emulsifying wax is of four ounces.
• Heat and allow it to melt. Keep stirring continuously. Oil is hot enough to melt both ingredients
• Add 2 table spoon of zinc oxide (USP) and stir it well. continuous stirring is required
• Pour into a glass pot
• Cool slowly
• Label sunscreen with date and ingredients
• It is ready to use.
