Step 2 – Pin the hairs of the wig back so that they do not get stuck in the glue during the application process.
Step 3 – Trim the excess lace off the wig. Only cut off small amounts at a time as you do not want to ruin your wig. Also be sure not to cut off the baby hairs.
Step 4 – Try your lace wig on and work with it until you find the place where you would like your hairline to be. Your hairline should look natural. Once you decide on the spot for your hairline, use an eyebrow pencil to lightly outline the area.
Step 5 – Apply the glue to the hairline area. Once the glue dries to a sticky consistency, it is time to apply your wig. Use a tail comb to press the wig down into the glue.
If you would like a stronger hold, tie a silk scarf around the perimeter of your head while the glue is drying. This will secure your wig more firmly and provide a longer lasting hold.
