In this issue, let us take a look one of the common skin problem-ACNE in the following structure:
A. Why do we have skin problems?
B. What is Acne?
C. Causes of Acne
D. How to reduce Acne
A. First and foremost, why do we have skin problems?
It is because skin problems show that within our body, something is out of proportion internally and externally. Nothing occurs in isolation in the body, and when something appears on the surface, it is the result of something taking place on the inside.
B. What is Acne?
What is Acne? Now, Acne is defined as a common disorder of the oil glands when overactive sebaceous (oil) glands secrete too much oil (sebum) in the skin.
How do we know we have acne is when we have recurring formation of blackheads, white heads, and pimples on our face. Acne usually occurs primarily on the face but they also can sometimes form on the back, shoulders and arms.
C. Causes of Acne
We start to develop acne during puberty and adolescence period. Stress, emotional problems, menstruation, menopause, and exercising can also influence the excess secretion of oil glands.
Another cause of acne could be dirt, oil and dead skin that are accumulated inside the pores, plugging our pores and preventing the flow of sebum. When bacteria build up on our blocked pores, pimples can easily form and acne may develop.
Other causes of Acne could be allergies, a poor diet, dehydration, environmental pollution, heredity, sun over exposure, and weaken immunity.
D. How to reduce Acne
Firstly, please resist the temptation to touch or squeeze out your acnes. Your touching and squeezing will aggravates them, makes them last longer and further infection.
Next, your diet is also very important. Have a balanced diet and follow a sensible, daily skin – care program with a weekly facial scrub followed by a facial mask. Treat your acnes with a formulation of essential oils such as tea tree, neroli oil, lemon oil, and/or aloe vera can actually help to heal your acnes at a faster rate.
These herbal oils can help fight bacteria which can cause acne. Just dab on a blend of jojoba oil together with one or more of these herbal oils on each acne several times daily. Often, these acnes should disappear within a few days.
This combination of herbal oils can also be used for cold sores, insect bites, cuts, and in-growth nails.
